Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

What is the make and model of your laptop? What ram did you pick out and what ram came bundled with your laptop? If you can, please pass on images of the sticks of ram used. BIOS version for your motherboard at this time?

ram comes in kits even if the final number is the same theres zero garantee that a diffrent manufacturer will work.

example even if you pair a 5200 stick with a 5600 stick it is all about the timings that matter

example

if 1 ram is cl 16
and another ram is cl 18 then it can cause a blue screen as your mixing timings. ( there are more numbers in timings

e.g 16-16-16-32 these matter more then the max speed as usually the ram will just default to the slower rams speed. ( USUALLY BEING THE WORD).

Ive listed a kit of 8x2 sticks to make 16gb remove both sticks of ram and put these in your laptop it should work fine as its 5200 and there a pair.
