dont know lingo 40 years and now just getting in to computers
computer left message that it recovered from something major
needed to install something like imaging device driver
not sure name cause i impatiently went on... not understanding ramifications
next day
i downloaded the driver at top of toms hardware
after said 29$ on credit card (dont have)
so then looking on alsorts free downloads dont know where to trust
so downloaded 2( driver max )can only do 2 a day for free
it says i need 12 different ones updated
and then asks me if they work
how do i know of they worked if i need 12
havent been using computer much cause thinking probably better to have things in order before i go forward
does this make sense? answer your question what hardware?

do not pay for drivers detection software. I consider them a scam.

right click on My Computer and choose Manage form the menu.

in the window that opens on the left you will see Device Manager, click on it

in the right area, do see any devices that have a yellow dot on it, or are there devices listed under Other Devices?

can you list the make and model?

since you don not see Other Devices that means that all hardware is recognized.

I found a driver for 3DP V12.04 which might work.

i have an old clunker not laptop
the big box(harddrive?) says Compaq Presario SR1010NX

it took about 2 minutes to find the drivers

I installed the driver (one under audio) you gave this morning
trying now no sound cant see downloaded utorrents and superslow
any more ideas??
maybe i can uninstall drivermax
