These temp files are created when you open a specific file and the purpose
of the temp file is to allow the primary file, the file you opened, to
remain intact until you save any changes to that file. Have you ever opened
a file and as you were working on it completely messed it up? If you have,
all you have to do is close the file and when it asks if you wish to save
changes, click no. No matter how messed up the file was, if you didn't save
the changes, you can get right back to where you began without having to
restore the file from backup.
