[SOLVED] Why Win10 Applications only use 25% of available CPU and RAM (8 of 32GB)?

In Task Manager (Win10 Home), I can see that my applications (Acrobat, Word, Excel, SDL Studio etc.), when doing huge processing tasks, never use more than some 25% of the CPU (AMD Ryzen 5 3500X 6-Core 3.60 GHz) and 8 GB RAM (from the total 32GB).

Is there any way to use the full capacity of my investment?

Applications will use what they need, and what the system can deliver.

There is no need to try to make Excel use 'more RAM'.
If it needs it at that moment, it will do so.
If not...it does not need it.

Unless you want to run a RAM disk (which I wouldn't), you don't need to force everything to reside in RAM. Computers have gotten a lot smarter about how to use RAM over the years. It's basically a non-issue at this point.

Run a huge software build and give visual studio as many threads as possible and you’ll see it

I have 32GB RAM, and often see RAM usage above 20GB.

Why? Running multiple simultaneous VM's.
Devoting 4GB to each adds up quickly.
