My laptop doesn't seem to want to stay connected to the wireless network. There is another desktop that is connected via ether net and another connected through wifi as well as a couple phones. My laptop keeps going in and out with only one or two minutes of connectivity total then it goes down again and keeps repeating. The other computer and the phones will connect but they are very very slow and browsing the Web often ends with errors. What happened?

Solution
Sounds like too many devices on wireless, and/or there's another wireless network nearby on the same channel causing interference.

In your router wireless settings, set the channel to 'auto', then reboot the router. Also if you have a dual band router, connect devices to 5Ghz if possible.

I disconnected the other devices and my laptop is still the only one having issues. Also, I am a little embarrassed To admit I have no idea where my router settings are. Or if it's dual band.

Also every time I do a network diagnostic it gives me a different answer. Either reset the router (which I've done several times) or it says "The connection between your access point, router, or cable modem and Internet is broken".. what does that mean?
