Why wont my pc boot into windows?

My gaming pc was working fine until bioshock froze. I opened task manager to end the application and then the both stopped responding and the computer just flat out froze. So I turned it off using the power button. I rebooted it and went into the bios fine. But when it tried to load windows it just gave me a black screen.

Boot from an install disc or repair disc and do a repair.

Turned out the hard drive was the issue so I just coping everything to my ssd.
