So I have heard that wireless cards can go bad, so I'm just wondering if these are some symptoms. For the past few days, my Wi-Fi card has been disconnecting from the WiFi a lot. Also, I have noticed that when downloading games off steam, I used to get around 2-2.5 MB/s, but recently I have been getting a lot less, around 200-400 KB/s, even though no one else is using the internet and my computer is in the same place. Also, the download speed on steam frequently dips down to the point of only downloading a few BYTES per second. Anyone know? I have had thjis care for about 1 1/2 years. Thanks.

so...it sounds like the wifi card in your computer is toast. If it's in a laptop, just buy a USB wifi receiver (https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_1_8?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=usb+wifi+adapter&sprefix=usb+wifi%2Caps%2C182&crid=HLLG0YK1BM5O). You can use the same thing for a desktop, too, or you can go to the trouble of installing a wifi card in a PCIe slot (https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_3_9?url=search-alias%3Dcomputers&field-keywords=pcie+wifi+card&sprefix=pcie+wifi%2Caps%2C179&crid=B9FCO9QS9J5U&rh=n%3A541966%2Ck%3Apcie+wifi+card)
Do other people using the same wifi on different computers have the same problem? If so, the problem is the router or the ISP. If it's only you, the best test is to physically connect your computer to the router or modem with an ethernet cable and see if that fixes the problem.

I have connected it through Ethernet and the internet worked fine, and also the Wi-Fi has been working on my phone and on other people's laptops and stuff.
