Wich antivirus is better Panda or McAfee

I need the best antivirus I'm thinking in the Panda Platinum 2006 Internet Security but I don't know if McAfee is better. My future system will be a DELL XPS 700 with dualcore etc,,, so the antivirus will run very nice in the pc. The thing is that I was a panda user 3 or 2 years ago (until my pc died of old age) and tha antivirus ran very good but now I can't decided since there are websites that get paid for reccomending a product and it has been a long time since I heard of these 2 antivirus companies( I think this is true since there are websites that recommend Panda giving it a 9 of 10 and McAfee with 5 out of 10 viceversa)

Stay far away from McAffee... I've seen it in action on a few computers and I was a little less than impressed. I currently use Panda PIS 2006.

McAfee is pure crap, its got a ton of problems. Stay away.
