I was recently in a game of League of Legends when I BSOD'd.

I thought to myself, "well that's unfortunate," but even worse was when my laptop restarted and it wouldn't display any of the wifi connections that are usually available. I tried to manually connect, but the option to connect wirelessly wasn't there.

So I did a troubleshoot and windows said that I have a problem with the WLAN drivers and hardware. Well, I looked everywhere and I couldn't find any drivers for this adapter, even on the manufacturer's website.

I looked around and apparently some people had this problem a year ago, but it was right after they updated, I haven't needed to update my laptop in a few weeks so I don't know what's causing this problem.

Does anyone have a fix for this that doesn't include ordering a new adapter or going to the shop?

You forgot to include the make and model of your laptop which likely is the key to understand if you need a BIOS update, if the wireless drivers are indeed available and if you're a likely candidate for a new wireless adapter(be it internal or a USB dongle). Can you please include the make and model of your laptop? If possible, please pass on the OS you're on as well.

On another note, see if this helps you out...provided you're on Windows 10.
