Wifi connection for laptop drops every couple days

Hi,

I have a HP Notebook PC. Every couple days i lose connection to my wifi router. The signal shows as strong on my computer but when i try to connect it says i can't reconnect. I have to unplug router and replug it back in then my wifi is fine again. Also when i got somewhere else to use wifi this doesn't happen just with my home wifi network. Its really annoying any help would be appreciated. My Wifi Adapter settings is on high performance.

This is an issue with your router, you might try to update the firmeware on it to make it more stable.

Is your router set to the default SSID (name of network that shows when you search for wireless networks) or did you name it to something custom. If you live in an apartment or have close by neighbors then you could both have the same SSID and it is kicking you off to try to connect to that nework because it thinks it is an extension of your own.
