Hello,
I have a big problem. I'm in a hotel in Vietnam and I can only connect to the hotel's wifi with my iPad. The connection is working properly. However, the notebook doesn't connect. It's a big issue for me, because I can't work and most of the time just look sadly out of the window.
I never had such problems with my notebooks, thus I wonder if it's the wifi here or if it's my notebook.
I went to a restaurant and tried the wifi there, and I had the same problem. Thus I assumed it's my notebook. Then I gave it a last try and went to a café and here I am, the wifi if working perfectly on my notebook!
Now I'm confused and really don't know if my notebook is configured wrongly or if it's their wifi...
I can see all connections in the wifi list, but when I try to connect, the modem tries to connect for 10 seconds and says then that it can't connect.
Even stranger is that there is one wifi in my hotel (from about 10 different wifi networks that they have, don't know why they have so many) that can sometimes connect with my notebook. But most often it doesn't and I try it again and again, but in 4 out of 5 cases I get the error message. When I finally connect, the internet is extremely slow and when I try to "ping" something in the cmd I only get an error message that it can't reach anything. After about 1 minute the internet disconnects.
However, with my iPad I can connect with all wifis and the speed is always perfect.
Here in the forum I found a few threads about this topic, but none of them helped.
I tried:
msconfig - I deactivated all non-Microsoft apps and tried a basic system start without the other apps. Didn't work.
AntiVir apps - I don't have McAffee (which seems to cause this issue sometimes) and I deactivated all other things, but it didn't help.
Temp - I deleted the c:\temp and c:\windows\temp folder. It didn't help either.
ipconfig/release
ipconfig/renew
Also didn't help
"network & sharing center
adaptor setting
disable the connection n again enable it"
Also no change.
ipconfig/flushdns
nbtstat -R
nbtstat -RR
netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
netsh winsock reset
Also didn't help.
Here is some information about my computer and network (created by Glary Utilities):

I would be very glad about any kind of help!
