Hello, my wifi seems to be dropping after I updated to Windows 8.1

This was never a problem on Windows 8, but it was prevalent after the upgrade to 8.1

I have tried near on everything I could possibly think of. I've tried reinstalling the network driver, updating it. Everything listed here: http://www.registryrecycler.com/blog/2013/11/fix-wi-fi-connectivity-issues-in-windows-8-1/

And on top of that, I even did a fresh install of Windows 8.1, this problem does not occur with an ethernet connection.

It's driving me insane, and I can't find a cause nor a fix for this issue. I was hoping some of you could shed some light on this issue. My laptop is: Acer Aspire E1-571

Thank you :)

Solution
Ok

If not let's try multiband driver;

broadcomdriver > update driver software > uncheck compatible drivers > try any random broad-com 802.11n driver or 802.11 multiband driver.

Try the 802.11 multiband driver browse to the list and you should be able to find it.

Wait nvm I'm an idiot, didn't know I had to click broadcom and pick it from the right.

I've done that now.

Hi, I absolutely will :) I'm going to give it a test run today, and if it doesn't drop for the entire day then it's fixed :p I'll choose your answer as a solution once I'm sure :D
