Wifi stops working when lid is closed

First of all i know this has been asked here before and i've tried every single solution i could find. I've tried:

1. Setting the power options in Wireless Adapater for Full Performance
2. Disabling in the USB selective suspend setting
3. Disabling "Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power" in the Wifi Adapter
4. Updating the drivers of the Wifi Adapter

My laptop is a Asus X441UR, recently the keyboard stopped working so i decided to use it with an external display, keyboard and mouse. Everything works perfectly, except for this annoying problem.

Is there another solution i could try? Or am i forced to leave the lid open?

Your laptop lid is most likely configured to put your laptop to sleep, this needs to be changed.

In Power Options you should see somewhere "Choose what closing the lid does" (in the left pane I seem to recall).

Click that and choose "Do Nothing" then click 'OK' if there is an OK button.

Hey, thanks a lot for the reply. Unfortunately, that's the first thing i did when i swtiched to external monitor, and still have the same problem.

buy a usb nano type small wfi adaptor probably better than onboard
