Will a 6+7 to 15+7 sata power adapter provide enough power to a 120gb ssd?

So I'm trying to add a second storage to my laptop using a hard drive caddy that has a 6+7 pin (I think it's called slimline sata power or micro sata) just like my optical drive, & on the other end it has the regular 15+7 pins where I can plug any regular 2.5 inch hdd/ssd. Is it safe to use this adapter? Going from 6 pins to 15 pins, will it provide enough power or will the pins overload ?? Or is ssd power consumption very low like an optical drive?

here is a picture

Thanks

Are you able to extract anything from these numbers? I am not sure how to calculate watts into amps and +5v/+12v and what not. so um 5+5 is 10v?

0.640w idle
1.423w read
2.052w write

This is the power consumption of the ssd I have according to a review. Id have to take my optical drive out again at maybe this weekend & look around. Thanks for the input!
