Question Will a Bluetooth 5 Earbuds work with Android phone having Bluetooth version 3?

I want to buy a true wireless Bluetooth earbuds during the Black Friday sale but all earbuds in market have Bluetooth 5 technology whereas I still use an old android phone (with Android version 4.2.2). This phone supports Bluetooth 3.0. So Will Bluetooth 5 earbuds work with Bluetooth 3 android phone? Thanks for Answering. Have A Nice Day

I don't understand. Some websites say that Bluetooth 5 is backwards-compatible with Bluetooth 4.0, 4.1, and 4.2 devices.
