Is it not possible to put a fan at the front of the case for an intake?I'm trying to upgrade my Dell Inspiron 3880 with a better GPU, I already got the power supply sorted out but wasn't sure if the GTX 1660 Super would overheat with only one case fan. Thanks.
I don't think there is a place for it in the case.Is it not possible to put a fan at the front of the case for an intake?
What is the 1660 Super's cooler type?GTX 1660 Super
I'm not too sure which type this is, I couldn't find it on the amazon page but here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce...onics&sprefix=gtx+1660,electronics,101&sr=1-3What is the 1660 Super's cooler type?
A)Flower. Same heatsink design used on Intel and AMD stock coolers.
This is the worst one. Will definitely operate at throttle temperatures under load.
B)The heatsink's fins run the entire length of the gpu, front to back, so that means the exhaust leaves from those directions.
This one will actually do fine as long as there isn't a front intake fan blowing at the cooler's front exhaust.
C)The heatsink's fins are side to side.
This one is also ok, but in cases, it draws in some of its own exhaust.
It's the last type then. It'll do ok.I'm not too sure which type this is, I couldn't find it on the amazon page but here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Gaming-Backplate-06G-P4-1068-KR/dp/B07ZHZL2JB/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=gtx+1660+super&qid=1658703141&s=electronics&sprefix=gtx+1660,electronics,101&sr=1-3
