recently I had a roomate spill coffee on my computer. it fried the the motherboard, CPU and graphics card. Thank god the PSU was not in the case at the time I was cleaning it.

So the specs I'm looking at getting are

mobo MSI z97 Pc mate
GFX card GTX 960
and CPU I5 4690k.

My PSU is an evega 500 watt psu 80 plus

PS sorry for the bad english its not my primary language.

I do not intend on overclocking if I do I will upgrade the PSU if necessary.

Solution
A GTX 960 only draws something like 120W at full load, and a Core i5-4690K will draw less than 100W at stock (most likely less than 150W even overclocked). You'd be hard pressed to break 300W with such a system, let alone 500W.

^ Exactly. Just for reference my 4690K / GTX 760 rig draws a max of 249 watts during 3DMark11. Using a 960 you will draw less than that. Also worth nothing I'm measuring draw from the wall, so the PC is actually using less than 249 watts.

500 watts is more than plenty.

Would a 430W PSU be enough?
