I have a super old system with ASUS P5Q Pro Motherboard and Q9650 CPU. I do want to try out some of the new gen games like CyberPunk and Homeworld but usually my staple of XCOM like turn based games. Given that my graphics card is a Nvidia 1050 Ti will upgrading to a Ryzen 5600 be worth it or will the graphics card be a bottleneck? Also my power supply is
PC Power and Cooling S75QB 750 W. Will I have to change my power supply too?

You also have to upgrade MB and RAM but it would be a great upgrade. Playing at 1080p or less is CPU bound more than GPU.And yes, 750W ŠSU is quite enough just have to make sure it has 8 pin EAX connector to MB which most new MBs require it.

I forgot to add that I aim to connect the system to my bedroom TV which is a LG 65" 65UJ6300 which has a 120 Hz refresh rate, 3840 x 2160 resolution rate.
The 1050ti might choke on trying to feed frames a 4k/120hz..but it also sounds like an ideal use case for FidelityFX/FSR which CyberPunk supports at Ver 2. The game will render at 1080p if you pick the right settings and then FSR upscales to 4k. Pretty much like DLSS does only Nvidia doesn't offer that on 1050ti's.

Not sure you'd get 120fps to match the refresh but even 35-45fps is quite good enough for a game like Cyberpunk... if the TV syncs that low.

Well yes you will be bottlenecking a 1050Ti with a R5 5600 although you would see an increase overall performance especially as a Q9650 is ancient. You shouldn't even attempt to play Cyberpunk on a 1050Ti, unless you are happy at 720p Min settings and even then it will likely be choppy. A 4k TV would be unusable at that resolution with that equipment.

To be honest you either have to cut down your expectations, a 1050ti is a 1080p Medium settings card at best (not AAA games tho). Alternatively you need to increase your budget massively to play at 4K (to player Cyberpunk at that res you need a 4090 for it to be smooth so you are probably talking about a $3.5k build)

Cut down the cpu to the 5700x, drop the gpu and get the rx 6800 instead imo.

5700x

If you could swing the extra for a 6800xt that is a bit better card. But I think with the 5700x and 6800 you’ll get a bit better performance. The 5800x3d is a great cpu but the 6700xt will hold it back a little I think. The 6700xt is a good card don’t get me wrong but I have one and I’m wanting to pick up a 6900xt or maybe an rtx 3090.

I have this case. Not sure a 6800xt will fit in this case (https://www.newegg.com/red-wood-nmediapc-htpc-8000-atx-media-center-htpc-case/p/N82E16811204039)
