Unknown. You need to determine your current BIOS version. The 2700X requires version 7B84v30. That is the first BIOS version listed on the website, but you need to verify your hardware.I have a a320m motherboard and I am just wondering if a bios update is required for a ryzen 7 2700x to work on it.

Since ALL CPUs show the 7B84v30 as the minimum, I am guessing that was the first BIOS released for that board. Even 1700 and 1500 show that BIOS and those were some of the very first CPUs.when i check the bios, it just says version is 3.4v, do you know if that one is up to date to use the 2700x?
ok. so do I need a bios update or will it be fine how it is?Since ALL CPUs show the 7B84v30 as the minimum, I am guessing that was the first BIOS released for that board. Even 1700 and 1500 show that BIOS and those were some of the very first CPUs.
