Will AM2+ Heatsink/Fan fit AM3 board>

I just bought an AM3 board/cpu (955be). I have OC'd my current 5600+ on air, but there doesn't seem to be a vast wealth of options for AM3 aftermarket heatsinks. There are, however, plenty of AM2/AM2+ heatsinks. Will these fit an AM3 board? I've scoured the internetz for an answer, and everything I've found has pointed to yes, but I would prefer to hear it from a more reputable source, ie this forum.
