I know it's a really old question about 15-odd year old hardware, but i've got an old pc laying around that I want to make it into a retro games machine, It has a Pentium 4 clocked at 2.4 ghz, and the motherboard has an AGP 4x 1.5v slot. I've been looking at FX5500 gpu's because they're cheap on ebay, but im not sure if the 5500 will work in the slot I have on my motherboard. Thanks in advance.

If the card has two keys, it's universal.

what is the exact motherboard model?

in general it would just run slower due to the 4x slot when it is an 8x card. but need to check mobo specs to be sure. been a while since i even thought of an AGP card, lol. but i'm old enough to remember them fully :)
