Hello a newbie here, so a friend of mine built a new PC but he said after awhile the monitor went into a blue screen then turned off then he turned it on again but it just says no signal, then we asked for help from a friend of ours who has experience in building pc's on what was wrong with the PC he said that "change the generic psu to a true rated one, it might work" so I'm asking if it will really work?

(Sorry for the bad English)

Solution
There's a chance it will work.
If the power supply is not delivering what it should you can end up with blue screens and no signal etc.
Also....generic PSUs are generally really crappy and I wouldn't trust one with my system...it can damage your components....so I would be replacing it with a brand name one like a Seasonic or Corsair EVEN IF I DIDN'T HAVE PROBLEMS.
