Will everything work?

Getting ready to build my first PC, I know very little still.
I just need to know if this stuff will work flawlessly.
Here is everything: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7YNYYr
The main concerns I have are 1: Is the power supply good enough? 2: How do I pick a good PCI-E, And 3: Will my PC stay cool enough with a 240mm liquid cool?
Any tips for a noob would be greatly appreciated. Even after the set up is good, worried about the BIOS and how difficult this stuff will be.

Hi - A couple of things to consider:

If you are going to stay with that 1080p monitor, you don't need a gtx 1080, a gtx 1070 will be more
enough. If you are going to a 1440 or higher down the road, then the gtx 1080 is advisable.

Hi - A couple of things to consider:

Unless the room you game in is especially warm, a good air cooler would work fine and no need
for liquid cooling. Brands - Noctua, Cryorig, Phanteks (preferably 140mm fan, not less than 120mm)

The PSU you selected has more than enough power for your system, however, the CS/CSM series
would not be my first choice for a gaming PC, and is not at the level of the other components
you have selected. Consider EVGA 650 (GS, G2, G3, B3), Seasonic. If staying with Corsair, step up to
RM, RMx, or even new TX series.

Thank you for the reply,
I upgraded my monitor to be 1440p, for some reason I thought my original pick was 1440p as well.
I do like to keep my room around 73 degrees F, which isn't too terrible I assume, but I just want the computer to last as long as possible. I typically play a lot of the high end games ranging from GTA5 to Crysis 3, so after all that, do you think I still need liquid cool?
And I changed my PSU from the corsair to EVGA 750 GQ 80+ GOLD 750W Semi Modular, just let me know if that is good or not. I know I don't really need 750 watt, but maybe in the future it will be useful if I decide to do more upgrades.

Hi again - Right, 750w is more than you need, but it's not wasted power as the components only pull what's
needed at any given moment. And, since you play a lot of intensive games, there will be a benefit of the
PSU being a little cooler and quieter as it won't have to be working as hard as a PSU with less total power.
The 750GQ is a good choice. The only thing you might want to consider is; is it worth the xtra $ for one of the
other EVGA models (G2L, G3, P2) for the 10 yr warranty vs the 5yr on the GQ.
Also, just a tidbit, as long as you are running one CPU (not dual) as the large majority do,
then there's no benefit of full modular vs semi.

I would say if the room is going to be around 73F you should not need liquid cooling. Your call however.
That case includes 4 fans as is, I think you'd be fine with a good quality air cooler as mentioned above.
The better ones from the three brands mentioned above run approx $65- $95.

As for the BIOS, best advice - read the mobo manual 1st - then maybe look at a youtube video. Most
important thing to remember, do not update bios via direct download online when in Windows,
instead download to flash drive 1st.

WHAT IS YOUR EXPECTATION

BUY A 100HRZ MONITOR
AND BUY 2 TB OF HDD

Expectation: Be able to play just about anything that is out now, and that comes out in the future for a little while, at high to highest settings.
Is there any benefit to having 2tb other than.... 2Tb? I only plan to use this computer for gaming, not even searching the web or much else, but that is only really because I'm paranoid about spending so much money and having it die on me in 2 years.

About that comment on the PSU, I did some googling on psu's before but I didn't even know there were any other benefits or disadvantages on Full vs. Semi Modular besides one comes with more wires. Can you educate me on the two a little more?

Hi - Not sure I see the difference as a benefit one way or another, but semi mod takes the approach that
everyone is going to need the ATX 24pin mobo + 8pin CPU power connector, so they're already wired to the PSU.
Some semi mods also have one or two other cables wired, like a molex.

Full mod has no cables wired, you install all and only the cables you need.

Pretty much the only advantage of full modular is slightly easier installation/cable management.
Fully modular you can thread the main power cables from each end round the back of the motherboard tray .
Semi modular (because those cables are fixed ) you need to fit the PSU first & thread those cables all the way around from the PSU end.
That is the only difference.

I'm not one myself to even pay a lot extra for semi modular let alone full.
Its a non issue for me ,im generally used to doing cable management with fully cabled psu's - you can do just as good a job , it just takes a little more time & a bit of planning.

Hello again! Sorry to come back from the dead; but, I'm taking your advice and I'm looking for an air cooler, mainly because I guess I really don't have any intentions to overclock, and price-wise air coolers are much less expensive. I can't seem to find any good 140mm's that will work with a 1151 socket, and ones I did were quite expensive. So I need your help on two things. 1. with a gtx 1080ti (I couldn't help myself, I just want best of the best,) will I need to overclock? 2. Do you have any recommendations on air coolers that are 140mm, fit 1151 sockets? And if needed, I upgraded my case to the corsair carbide air 540. Thanks again!

P.S. Preferably under $100

Yes, any of these should be fine, They are all compatibale with 1151 CPU's:
