Hi, I currently have Geforce GT610 and Intel i7 860 and PSU of 305 W, i am planing to buy Geforce GTX 1050TI, but i am concerned that my motherboard doesn't support PCI-E 3.0, and PSU wont't be able to power up GPU... Will it work ?

Solution
There are 3 heatsinks for that. from the top they all look alike unless you can see one without the shroud, or get a bottom view. There is a solid aluminum one which is the least efficient for 65W CPUs, there is one with 4 copper pipes and a copper base plate, and there is one with 6 copper pipes and the copper base. None of them are very expensive surplus. The best place to start for cooling is the heatsink so the heat leaves the CPU faster, if that happens the intake fan can run slower due to lower CPU temperature. The expansion slot blower will help GPU temperature greatly. I needed one for the GTX750TI.
You can get someone to test your GPU for you before you mod it. I actually own a BTX Mini Tower, and a Zotac GTX1050Ti, I've also...
I looked at the MB on that and it's definitely BTX layout but it's the only non LGA775 I've seen. BTX was to make the wires to the memory controller shorter. When they move that onto the CPU it became redundant. 0R505R is the cooler for that. A Dell Inspiron 580 is the ATX version of that.

The case and MB are matched. You would need to get an Inspiron and sell your Optiplex. That BTX LGA1156 is unique to the Optiplex 980 computer. It won't swap with anything else. Dell sells enough of each model of computer that they can do things that way.
What specific video card did you get? Can it be returned or exchanged?

I'm not sure if it can be, someone bought it for me. It is this one: https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/GeForce-GTX-1050-Ti-4G-OC/Overview
Changing this case will take me a long time probably... Feelsbadman.

That's not too bad a card to start with. I have the GTX1060 3GB version and I got it to fit in an Opti.
If you remove the bracket from the end, and remove your CPU cooler you can see if there is any other interference. Possibly the PS2 ports.
It would be nice if you could run the card in another computer to be sure it works.
The bracket can be cut in 1/2 with tin snips and flattened back out to make a single slot bracket like the Zotac.
The CPU cooler end may just need trimming of the plastic cover to clear. I have several Optiplex BTX MB but not the LGA1156 one or I would try it for you.
I just cut the plastic cover off with a hobby saw even with the end of the heatsink.
It's hard to recommend taking cutting tools to a new GPU when the Zotac Mini comes already finished. But I've personally done it many times back when there was no other choice.

Sorry, my english is a little bit bad. What you're saying is that you cut the GPU plastic(The cool black cover it has) and half its bracket. And also, part of the CPU Cooler... and what about the heatsink? I didn't understand that one.

1- Measure from the back of the computer to the CPU cooler. Remove the CPU cooler to make room.
2- Remove the bracket from the card so it can be installed on the motherboard.
This will tell you if there are any other problems. If the card fits that way, then you have to decide what you want to do.
A- Return the card and get a Zotac Mini, or sell the card and get a Zotac Mini.
B- Make the card fit by cutting the bracket, and shorteneing the cover.
C- Get an ATX computer to install the card in. Maybe sell the computer you have to do this.
My card after trimming is 7"/175mm long. That's the distance to the CPU cooler on my computer. If you have 7" There you can cut it to fit. The Zotac MINI is 144mm long, and has a single bracket. That's why I suggested it.
Cutting the card is a last resort. But that seems to be the situation you're in. Or return it as is.

I can't return it, sadly... I'll see what I do when it gets here. I hope I can get a new case somehow. I really dont want to cut the GPU, it's dangerous, I guess. Thanks a lot for the help, I will ask other thing if needed later :).

Unfortunately the BTX layout goes back to Pentium 4 LGA775. That's probably the only computer with an LGA1156 CPU in a BTX layout. You will need a matching case and motherboard I'm afraid to solve your problem. But then you should be able to use your RAM, CPU and GPU.

I see. I've had this case and MB for too long, it seems. I need to be less behind hahaha.
