i have a qustion i just bought a GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ with a fx 8350 and wanted to know if they would work together becuase iv heard of many saying that the mother board doesnt support the fx 8350 and others say it will work fine?
another question i have is will i be able to overclock the fx 8350 with this mothe board i have a 750 watt psu?
another question this is my first pc build, many say that the mother board is rev 3 others say 2 and other say 4 those this make a diffrence and will the rev diffrencee affect my cpu from running?
and my final question is if my mother board doesnt work with the fx 8350 will i have to uptade the bios or buy a diffrent one if i do have to update the bios how would i be able to do it since i havent built it yet

so ur saying if i get rev 3.0 and up i would have to update it?

Update the BIOS and it will work fine. That board has good power phase and cooling for the Chipset and VRUs.

*** However *** ...one of the older revisions had a dinky chipset heatsink that created overheating issues. Avoid that one.

If you can get the latest version 4.0 with the heatpipe connection between the chipset and VRU heatsinks that would be great.

well just to be sure i talked to them again and they said thats how there policy is if in the 30 day since i purchased it and i tryed the mother board and lets say the heat sink doesnt work tht it will be qualified as a faulty item meaning tht i could return it for a full refund or a replacment
