Will GTX 1070 work with my computer?

Hey all!

I got my computer last summer and am thinking about upgrading my graphics card. Well, hopefully I would like both cards to run, don't know if that would make any sense? I work quite much in 3D and Photoshop and was thinking it might be a good idea to dedicate the cards to run the different processes?
But maybe that is just a stupid idea, I don't really know that much about how the hardware works.

So two questions really:
1. Can my computer setup run a GTX 1070?
2. Can it run both cards at the same time and is that a good or bad idea?

My specs are (its in german but I guess you can figure out the few words that differs from english)

Thermaltake Urban S31 MIDI Tower
Mainboard MSI Z97 Gaming 5
Prozessor Intel Core i7 4790k (@ bis zu 4x 4,50GHz)
Kühler Be Quiet! Dark Rock 3 Silent Wings
Grafikkarte NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 OC 4GB Inno3D
16GB DDR3-1866 RAM G.Skill
2TB SATA-III Festplatte
24x DVD/CD Brenner
256GB SSD (Solid State Disk)
Netzteil Cooler Master 600 Watt B600 B2

Thank you very much for helping me out!

Regards,
Marcus

I know that Photoshop can't take advantage of two cards. I think you really can only use the 970 as a dedicated PhysX processor in games. Otherwise, it will just be taking up power and space.

But yes, you can use the 1070 in your current setup.

Thank you very much for your response. In that case I'll just sell my 970 card if I get a 1070.
