Question Will I be able to re-use my 7 year old CPU Cooler on Ryzen 5000

Upgrading my rig from 7 years ago soon, hopefully to a Ryzen 5000 series CPU coming from my i5 4670k.

I don't know if AMD will include a cooler with their new cpus but my current cooler is a Hyper 212 Evo that is still giving me pretty good temps to this day so was thinking of just re-using it.

Will I encounter any compatibility issues using this? The latest socket it says it is compatible with on the box is FM2 but I was wondering if future sockets have any backwards compatibility.

You could try to contact their customer service and see if they'll send you the AM4 bracket.
