Question Will I need to remove the 5.25” optical drive bay in order to fit a 360mm aio in my case?

Hello everyone. I want to buy a new AIO and I was planning to get the CoolerMaster ML240 Illusion ARGB because of its amazing looks, but I saw that the 360mm version costs only 10€ more so I thought it’s worth getting in case I buy a hotter CPU in the future. I have the Corsair Obsidian 750D Airflow Edition case and in the manual it says that it supports a 360mm radiator in the top but there’s the 5.25” optical drive bay in the way and I’m not sure it fits without removing the drive cage first. So my question is will it fit like it is or will I need to remove the cage first? By the way I have a Ryzen 5 5600 I know I don’t need a 360mm AIO but I only care about the looks and I like low temps. Thanks in advance.

Yeah I know I want to mount it at the top, do you think it will be ok without removing the optical drive cage?
Most likely it will be necessary to remove optical drive cage for 360mm radiator installation..

What/which measurement is length along the top? I believe that measurement to be 546 mm.

ML360 Illusion Cooler dimensions being = 394 x 119.6 x 27.2 mm

Reference:

https://www.coolermaster.com/catalo...s/masterliquid-ml360-illusion/#specifications

So 546 - 394 = 152 mm

And the drive bay/cage is likely around 135 mm wide.

Then 152 - 135 = 17 mm. Not much clearance and likely not enough.

Seconding @SkyNetRising - it will be necessary to remove the optical drive bay.

Double check the case, cooler, and cage measurements by specs and by actual physical measurement.

Calculate accordingly.

Remember to think and measure in 3 dimensions.
