My cpu is an AMD FX 6100 4.2GHZ OC... And my gpu is Sapphire R9 280 Dual x oc 3gb..
My question is: will my gpu be bottlenecked by this cpu ?

-Im asking because im having some hard frame drops when im trying to max a game.

Thanks in addition,

Mostly FC4 and sometimes im getting drops on League of Legends ( by the way i could max it with steady 60 fps with my 7770). And i did the unigine valley benchmark on ultra settings at 1920x1200 resolution and i had Average FPS :34 Max FPS: 66.1 Min FPS : 17 And final score 1424 ... And generaly i cannot max every new game (while i should) :/

If you are trying to max games.. That GPU may not be up to the latest titles at a constant 60+ Fps, You are probably getting very minor drops down to maybe 55 fps..
depending on your refresh rate and response time of your monitor this can be very noticeable if you have good eyes!
Games like crysis 3 on max settings will push even a good GPU like that to it's limit!
maybe try Oc'ing the card (I've had great success OC'ing AMD cards) Or just drop the AA or MSAA, maybe a few settings on high rather than ultra.
What res are you playing in? Anything over 1080 you'll struggle on max with this card.

7770 can't max many games! Not in 1200p!!!
The 280x Would struggle! Never mind the 280..
Drop the settings down!

My 660Ti is Oc'd to the max and i can't max out many games(in 1080p), Bf4 is ok with MSAA on x4 and AA on x2. Anything more it gets don in the higher 50's
Farcry 3 i only get a constant 60 if the AA is knocked down a little. (Not tried FC4)
Try this, hope it works. OC the card?

Thank you for your help mate. No i didnt try to OC the card... Im really afraid of doing any mistake and burn my new card... Dunno should i oc it ? Will it be better ? I mean will i get more than 10 fps ?

You can usually get 7% more performance with Graphics, 10-15% If you have good cooling, good Mobo and a good PSU.
If you use Afterburner to monitor tamps and voltage carefully you'll be safe. If your card allready heats up a lot (over 75c) There is no point in putting more volts through it's core as the cooling system is not adequate.

Aim to not go above about 80-85C on burn in tests, Only bump up the speeds on the core by 20Mhz on the first step up. Do a burn in test (Furmark or equivalent, this is all down to personal preference)
Then bump up by 10Mhz at a time. then burn in again.. Repeat this process untill the graphics drivers crash. This means you either need more volts through the Core (only if temps are still good). Bump up core voltage by about 50mV on the first step up and see how comfortable you are playing with these settings.

You can follow simple guides on forums or Youtube to help! Just watch temps! If it goes over 85c once in a burn in it's ok.. The GPU has a thermal trottle built in to protect your hardware.

Best of luck.

PS : Have you tried 1080p gaming instead? You'll get more FPS and the quality difference is not that noticeable if you have a good monitor

No, That is 1200p If you change your windows resolution to 1920x1080 this will be 1080p (1080 < The count of vertical pixels on the screen)
so 1200p Has 1200 vertical pixels. Simple 😀

So try gaming in 1920x1080, You should get more FPS but the detail will be slightly inferior ( less pixel density so not as sharp an image).
Try this first, see how happy you are with that. Then you can consider OC'ing depending on your current temperatures.

Hope this helps

Okay i will but i have 1 more question. Can you tell me why im getting lags when im playing League of Legends in ultra settings? I mean in fights im dropping from steady 60 fps to 45-30 without reason..(Vsync on) With my older 7770 i had no prob maxing this game :S

Maybe the Frame consistency(Frame Jitter) was lower on the 7770 😉 (This is the time it takes for the GPU to process the frame and sent it to the display)
If the time was lower and/or more consistent on the old card your eyes will notice the difference. So you could have had less FPS on the old card, but it maybe displayed the images more consistently, so your eyes were tricked in to thinking the image is more fluid ( even with less FPS).

Try without the VSync? Does it look any better?
