So I asked Asus this same question they said ATX is the same size as EATX...I will be buying the "ROG Maximus XI Extreme" when it releases it is an EATX board with the dimensions of 12 inch x 10.9 inch motherboard(30.5cm x 27.7cm) the Case I want is the H700I which dimensions are (Up to 272mm or 10.7-inches) I know a few cases have smaller dimensions but can hold an EATX with an unsupported overhang but all the screws are in place. So i'm just wondering if this will be the case with the H700i since its only a .2 difference and the website says it supports EATX so how many different sizes of EATX could there be that this new board is TOO big by .2 inches and wont work? neither of the cases are on PCpartpicker so I cant trust that. Any opinion or help is appreciated thank you! https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-MAXIMUS-XI-EXTREME/ AND https://www.nzxt.com/products/h700i-matte-white

Solution
ASUS tech support must not know what they are talking about as EATX is definitely NOT the same size as ATX. The mounting hole pattern is the same, but the board dimensions are larger, varying in size.

Based on the specs on NZXT's website I'd say it should fit. ATX and EATX are all 12" wide, and the case says it supports up to 10.7"long, which is the dimension that is different. Exact fit if both specs are correct.

Motherboard Support Mini-ITX, MicroATX, ATX and EATX (Up to 272mm or 10.7-inches)

Solution

I knew something sounded fishy about the Asus Support guy... Thank you for looking into this for me I wasn't sure which number was the number that changed now that I know its the length that makes thing a lot easier!

Well the guy at NZXT has finally replied to my email, he said that the motherboard wont even fit inside the opening of the case because the case is 10.7-inches and the mobo is 10.9 inches he says 10.7 is the MAX of the case...so I guess there goes that idea for that case. Guess its time to find one that similar I really liked the design.

Are you planning to run a custom CPU cooling loop to where you wanted that motherboard due to the monoblock?

I don't even see that motherboard available for sale anywhere yet anyhow.

Would work just as well, and will fit your case with no problems.

I was just going to use an AIO Kraken Watercooler. But that motherboard I linked is said to be released in a few weeks probably and I wanted it because of the DIMM.2 so I could run 4 m.2 ssds

Can't help you there. You can always get PCI slot adapters for extra M.2 drives I suppose. That or you'll need a bigger case. Honestly, I'd look into it further. Maybe you can mod the case to fit that board, or it might fit regardless of what they said at NZXT.
