i am planning to buy the b450 pro vdh max with ryzen 5 2600 cpu. i have recently come across some threads discussing issues of backward compatibility in new bios update in MSI motherboards. So, i was wondering whether i will face the same problem with the cpu compatibility with the latest bios in a msi b450 pro vdh max?

Solution
That only applies to the Non-MAX motherboards.
The older Athlons and A-series cpu support gets wiped if one updates the bios for Ryzen 3000 - for example, the non MAX version of your chosen mobo.
"This BIOS does not support below Bristol Ridge CPU due to BIOS rom size limitation:
Athlon x4 970/950/940, A12-9800/9800E, A10-9700/9700E, A8-9600, A6-9550/9500/9500E"

I imagine something similar will happen when Ryzen 4000 desktop parts launch.
That only applies to the Non-MAX motherboards.

So, with Max version the backward compatibility of 2600 is not an issue, right?
