Hello ive read alot about some older cpu's making your video card perform not so well so i was just wondering if my evga gtx 770 will be able to perform 100% with my I5 3570k? I overclocked it to 4.0ghz but i just wanna be 100% sure. I'm not too smart on the cpu area so any help will be apreciated :)
Cpu: I5 3570k 3.4ghz (OC 4.0ghz)
Cpu cooler: Cooler master tx3 evo
Gpu: Evga gtx 770 (sc)
Ram: 8gb kingston DDR3 ram (1600mhz)
Mobo: Gigabyte z77-ds3h
psu: corsair hx 850w
Storage: 1tb hdd 7200rpm

Solution
Oh no man you're good, the underperformance is called gpu bottlenecking, which is made by a underpowered CPU that can't keep up with the frames produced by the GPU, your 3570K is a 3rd gen cpu that is overclockable and is really a wonderful processor, you're fine.

Yeah, the cpu being the bottleneck is quite rare unless you really have no clue what you are doing when building a pc.

I have a friend put a pentium dual core @1.5 GHz with a GTX 780Ti. Now that's a bottleneck!
