[SOLVED] Will my i9-9900k be bottlenecked by an RTX 3080?

I'm planning on securing a 3080 around the holidays when they're hopefully more obtainable and my friend recently told me my i9-9900k is only "okay" (which I find very confusing considering it's only two years old). Will my CPU bottleneck the GPU by any significant degree? Will I have to buy an i10 CPU as well? I can't for the life of me find a concrete answer after searching.

The 9900k and 3080 will be a good pairing.

i9 9900k is top of socket. You really couldn't upgrade without swapping motherboards anyhow.

Your CPU is fine, for a 3080. It isn't really any slower than a 10700k, as it is basically the same CPU, with a different IHS, and the 11700k is a mixed bag, performance wise, vs either.
