The price of the i5-11400F is dropping quite fast here in my country... and since my mobo supports it, and its new architecture changes caught my attention (Cypress Cove, AVX-512, etc...)I want to bite the bullet and buy it.
11th gen CPUs support PCIe 4.0 SSD as does my motherboard (it has a single NVMe slot and switches between PCIe 3.0 and 4.0 modes depending on the CPU and SSD installed...)

However, I currently have a PCIe 3.0 one. Will that be detected and work fine with the 11400?

As always, go to the manufacturer specs:
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B560M-A-PRO/Specification

Yes, it supports a PCIe 3.0 drive.
Oh I know the mobo itself does support the drive. But for example, I know that if I try to use a PCIe 4.0 drive with a 10th gen processor, the drive won't show up in the UEFI.
But will a 3.0 SSD work if using a 11th gen processor (basically the reverse of the case I mentioned above.)
