I am currently deciding between an asus vg248qe or a ROG SWIFT and deciding if the lower fps is worth the higher resolution. So will a 24 inch 1080p monitor be pretty clear. or will the pixels be quite visible? I am currently using an old 22 inch 1680x1050 monitor. I am upgrading to 2x GTX 980's as well. I am leaning towards the 1080p side because I want my games to take advantage of that 144hz refresh rate, since mostly wil not happen on 1440p.

what specs do you have? 1080p 24'' will be just fine! i wouldnt suggest ROG if you arent going to play at the native res which is 1440p.

2x980 will be able to push more than 60fps even on 1440p. i would stick with 1440p esle you are compromising with image quality. running with anything lower than the native res will sesult in inferior picture quality with any monitor, even with ROG SWIFT !
