Hi everyone. I bought a MSI B550M Pro Max Wifi motherboard.

I am thinking of getting the Corsair Vengance Pro RGB and was wondering, since my motherboard does not have RGB, will my RAM have RGB connected to it? I would have to configure it through a software to get it running correct?

Also, here is the list of the PC I am planning to build. This would be my first PC:

RGB ram is plug-n-play. There may be something in bios for controlling it, I'm not sure...

Also how will I know if my motherboard has an RGB header? Will it say "RGB" by one of the pins? I am thinking of getting RGB fans as well but not sure how to connect them. I'm new to this so if anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it.

RGB ram is plug-n-play. There may be something in bios for controlling it, I'm not sure. Your board has a total of 2 rgb headers and 2 rainbow LED headers (for LED strips maybe?). It's listed in the online manual at MSI website for that board model. All you have to do is take the time to look.

Link to MSI board specs-
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B550M-PRO-VDH-WIFI/Specification
Click the 'Detail' tab and scroll down to 'internal connectors' to see the rgb headers listed.

Link to download manual-
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B550M-PRO-VDH-WIFI#down-manual
Scroll down to pages 25 and 26 on the pdf for RGB info. I don't use any rgb stuff so I can't help you beyond this info. Cheers.

Ahh thanks so much! The manual that comes with my motherboard was not detailed at all (just had pictures and how to install it in the pc) so I was really confused with where everything is. These links help a bunch!
