will samsung data migration delete all my excluded files?

i bought a new samsung ssd and i want to migrate my OS to it from a 1 TB hdd. When i migrate, will the program delete all of my excluded files which i dont want to migrate from my HDD ?

Unless you have 600+GB of '.doc/.jpg/.mp3/movies, this will not work.
The only thing you can exclude items that are in the Libraries folders.

Applications and games cannot be excluded. And the total used space (excluding things in Libraries), must be below 200GB for that drive.

Yes. Get the total used space on the C drive or partition to below 200GB.

I have another question, can i just reinstall Windows 8 on the SSD and delete the windows folder on the HDD. Would this keep all of my games and files on the HDD but the OS on the SSD?

MUCH better to move everything you want to keep off that 1TB, and wipe that drive. Then move it back.
After the clean install on the new SSD.

Deleting 'just the windows folder' leaves behind a lot of junk.
Users, AppData, temp folders, etc, etc.

No, it does NOT wipe the original drive.
Nor should you, until you KNOW it all works OK on the new SSD.

Yes, mostly.

Verify it all works with the SSD, and SSD only. Then start messing with the HDD.
Before you move the files back, completely wipe the old HDD. ALL partitions.

Find the Steamapps folder. That's where your steam games live.
Copy/paste that.
Then, in the Steam client, designate that new location.

Just delete and format the main partition.
