i am building a pc but im unsure how good my proccessor should be.
i going to get a asus a8n32-sli deluxe mb, 1gig corsair xms3200 ram and a single 7800gt gc? will the AMD Athlon64 3700 sandiego core be good enough?

I have a A64 3700+ SanDiego. I am happy with it and run it on stock frequencies. My 3dmark05 score with a 7800GTX (factory OC) is in my sig alongwith all the other specs.

The 3700 is less than 10fps slower than the top FX in most cases. Go to the CPU charts at Toms see for your self you will be amazed i was now i have got one. The fact is the 3700 is one of the best CPU's out there it will give you the biggest bang per buck that i know of so ALL THE WAY

The 3700+ is an excellent CPU, very nice core (same as the FX series) and I heard it can be OC pretty nice with stock HSF.
