you are correct. most cases do list the max card length and so on, when bought separately. easy to look up those specs. but pre-built machines rarely list such things in the specs. nor do you actually know who made the case or anything like that beyond the brand name on the front of it. is why easiest way is to simply grab a ruler and measure real quick. you could spend an hour or more looking for someone who has upgraded a pre-built or a reviewer who has measured inside to any of the other ways you might get some specs.

or you could grab a ruler and spend 30 seconds measuring real quick :)

here is a list of available card models with dimensions. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-3047729/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1000-series-megathread-faq-resources.html#17902602

easiest thing to do is open the case and measure the space available. njo guessing that way. measure from the back of the case where the card sticks out the back and then forward to the front of the case until you hit the first thing. that's how long the card can be. then measure from the top of the pcie slot to the side of the case. this is how tall the card can be. then check the list to see if you can fit the card. not the biggest card so an average midsize tower should fit it fine but better safe than sorry

no problem. not sure why folks are so against a simple couple minutes of using a ruler to know for sure. seems folks would rather buy, try, return, try again and pray it works eventually.

well i tried, good luck. it will likely fit but may not, only time will tell.

Not to be that guy, but pretty much any decent case will state the max card length in the specifications.

Didn't notice it was prebuilt. You are definitely right there, my bad.
