The thing is that the Internet speed directly through a modem is 200mbps. And the speed through the router is limited to 100mbps. If I will install a Network Splitter that will be connected after the modem and connect a laptop and the router, will the laptop have a speed of 200 Mbps?

If you have a true modem, with just a single ethernet port, then the "splitter" which would have to be a switch, will not work. Your ISP only provides a single IP address for your modem. Either the laptop OR the router could get that IP address but not both. You need to buy a new router.

1. What ^he says.

2. You are always sharing the Internet amongst other users in the house. You will get the full 200m if everybody else is quiet, else the bandwidth is divvy up in a more or less first-come-first-served fashion.

U can implement QOS to manage and control this divvying process. This is not an easy subject and not all boxes implementations are the same.
