Question Will the new AI upscaling actually matter on the 7000 series or can I just go ahead and buy a RX 6800?

The RX 6800 honestly seems like the best deal to me if I'm comparing the 7700xt and RX 6800. People are saying that the AI upscaling technology would make the 7700xt a better card to go for because it will increase the longevity of the card. Would it increase the amount of FPS we get from upscaling aswell? How much better does it make the card?

7700xt is simply outright better, even besides the better RT performance.

6800 is a 4 years old GPU already, in a month it will be 2 generations behind. It's not even about AI upscaling, which is not a thing yet for AMD, but simply that card going EoL with all the issues that brings.
