Hello, first post on this forum. I am currently looking at building a new rig and have been researching the motherboard. I see that the Gigabyte Aorus Z270X-Gaming 9 has the PEX8747 chip which, from what I understand, aids in lane distribution when running multi gpu systems. I have 2 GTX 1080's and will be buying two more for the build. I do a lot of overclocking and benchmarking so, yes, I know it's overkill for gaming(mostly what I do). However, are there other boards that have this chip(Aorus gaming 9 is way too expensive)? What are the advantages and disadvantages of the PEX8747 that I may not be aware of?

nothing on that i'm afraid. You are also aware that nvidia will provide a 'key' to allow 4-way, but it is mostly limited to benchmarking, so for records it's useful, for normal people it's not.

I totally forgot about that. Anyways, I guess forget the 4-way SLI. Got anything on the mobo question?
