This is my first time building a pc and I just wanted to check all my parts can work together and nothing is over or under kill. I'm looking for 1080 60-75fps in games like Rainbow Six Siege and Overwatch. These are my current components I'm thinking of buying:
i5 8400
Gigabyte Z370P D3(ATX)
Corsair 2x8GB ram DDR4(2666MHz)
MSI AMD RX 580 8GB GDDR5
WD 1TB HDD
Crucial CT500MX500SSD 500GB 2.5 inch SATA SSD
Corsair CX550M 550W 80+ bronze ATX power supply
EMPIRE GAMING – WarFare PC Gaming Case(USB 3.0, 3 x 120 mm LED Fans, Smoked transparent side panel – ATX/mATX / mITX)

If you have any suggestions to improve or fix this current design please add that as well.

Thanks in advance

Would work but isn't a good build. The i5 8400 can't be overclocked (Intel overclockers are the "k" processors) and the Z370 MoBo is for overclocking so you're wasting too much in the MoBo.

You probably won't even need 16GB of RAM for this games but it's ok as 8GB can be flooded if you have many things in the background, like browser tabs or specially streaming or recording programs (if you want to stream or record you want a better processor).

I don't know if you are getting any realistic advantage from 2400 RAMs to 2666 by the price.

And you are looking for a 60-75FPS build, but for competitive games like those you will really, REALLY love a 144Hz screen. This build feels more than enough for 144 FPS, the CPU will provide and the GPU will probably need to lower some settings but is pretty good too.

I would suggest this :

I forgot to change the motherboard in my message but I changed it to an MSI B360 PRO-VDH, is this any better?
Is there also a similar priced CPU that might work better for my current set up, and what frames will I be getting with games like rainbow six, as I care more about fps and less about having the unltra settings all the time. As long as it looks fine on medium or high settings, what frames will I be getting with no other tabs open(I dont stream or record).

Thanks for the help

I don't know what prices can you see in your country but here a AMD Ryzens are just better in performance per euro than Intel Cores.

The MoBo will be better as far as it is cheaper.

As said, you are getting +144FPS easily in both games.

On PCPartPicker in the upper right hand corner of the webpage you can change the country from US to UK.
Thanks,
It's showing the M.2 and Ram without price, what does this mean.
Is there any area(power supply, case) where I could cut the price as my budget can't go past 900 pounds

The Ryzen 2600 is a better processor and is 5 pounds cheaper, but to take proper advantage of it he will most probably loose money in higher speed RAM modules when the 8400 is more than enough to get +144FPS in these games.

Thanks for this it looks like a really nice build.
I checked the CPU and there is no reviews about Aria PC, is this a reliable choice or should I spend another 20 and get it from a more trustworthy place.

Does your smart TV has a game mode feature? Check in your user manual how much is the response time in game mode. If there is a mode which offers 5ms or less response time, you can use your TV as a monitor.
Is there an online manual I can look for as finding the manual might take some time. If there isn't an online version it's fine i will just have to take some time later trying to find it.

Will this have what I need

pg 131 of 174, follow the info for setting up game mode. if samsung says its optimised for ps4 xb1 gameplay, the response time should be fast enough for gaming. never hurts to try before spending 150 quid for a brand new monitor XD

Hey this is my first gaming pc build and I wanted to check to see if all my components are suitable for each other and nothing is under or over powered. I'm looking to play FPS games like Rainbow Six Siege and new AAA games.
This is my current build set up:

What frames will I get with this setup?
Is there any upgrade or downgrades I should do?
Do I need an added cooler if I want to overclock(I don't know how so I won't be overclocking straight away, unless it's super easy)?
My maximum budget is 900 pounds and if I could lower the overall cost without reducing performance that would be great.

Thanks in advance,

You could certainly get an aftermarket CPU cooler for some overclocking, or to just keep the CPU cooler/quieter compared to the stock cooler.

The case comes with 4 fans, which should be enough.

I say give it a try first and order a CPU cooler later if you feel like it isn't enough.

Hey this is my first PC build as I'm switching from PS4 to PC. I'm planing on playing Rainbow Six Siege hopefully with high or ultra settings. I don't stream but I do like to listen to spotify and browse taps in between games(and I use discord). Will this setup be able to run rainbow on 60fps or more at 1080p at high or ultra settings:
Ryzen 5 2600
MSI rx 580 8GB
16gb corsair C15 3000MHz(2x8)
Corsair 550W 80+ gold PSU
Asus Prime B-450-Plus motherboard
500GB SSD Crucial
Corsair CC-9011085-WW Carbide Series SPEC-ALPHA Windowed Mid-Tower ATX Gaming Computer Case - Black/Red

All these parts are on Amazon UK for 750 pounds(976$), and I can stretch my budget to 900 pounds at the max.
Is there any upgrades or downgrades I should make to improve this build?
I might buy a 1440 144hz monitor in the future(1-2 years), would this be a good choice.

Thanks for the help in advance,
