Will a GTX 980 TI and a i5-7600k bottleneck?

No. Some game engines will do better with an i7 or 8 thread processor though. That's not the same as a bottleneck.

The 980 Ti is roughly equal to a GTX 1070 and is still a great card.

It can bottleneck in Battlefield 1, because it is recommended to 4 cores and 8 threads CPU. And a i5 7600K is only 4c/4t CPU.

Okay, thank you. I would go with an i7 but that adds an extra $100 to the build. I don't have a reason for an i7 either.
