Will this build work together? And will it run Valve games at normal quality?

Corsair makes great power supplies, but 430 watts doesnt leave much leeway for any upgrades in the future, I would go with something from 500w to 650w. Don't go with an offbrand Power Supply, stick with things from Cooler Master, Corsair, Rosewill, etc.

I would get more RAM and also a better power supply... I have no experience with Sapphire GPU's but it doesnt seem like a bad GPU... I think it ought to be a pretty good starters gaming computer.

So you would suggest a better brand of power supply or more power from the same brand? And I have 4GB in a new laptop extra which I will be using, would that change anything?

Shouldn't really matter, If you plan on putting a LOT of RAM in this system down the road the 1x8 would leave you more space, but you shouldn't have to or want to. Down the road if you decide to upgrade to 16 a 4x4 would fill all your slots, and I see filling all of the RAM slots a small victory. :)

I'm currently using AM2 Phenom 9600 x4 2.3Ghz, Radeon 7770 and 333mhz 6gb ram. I can play CS:GO at 120 fps max settings and Gmod at 15-60 depending which server. So that will be 100% fine.
