Will this build work?

What would you recommend for this processor and motherboard? Processor: AMD FX-4300 Quad Core Clocked and 3.8 GHz. Motherboard: MSI 760GM-P34 (FX) I would like to get either: A Gigabyte Radeon R9 280X with GDDR5-3GBS OR Gigabyte GTX 780X GDDR5-3GB graphics card. Also, what kind of power supply would be best for either one of those? I also have 8GB of RAM (Yeah, I have 8, not 16, but whatever) If I can't get those cards, what would fit my motherboard anywhere between 0-500 that is reliable. Thank you to anyone who replies! Your motherboard and processor are compatible. Since it is an AMD motherboard I would stay with AMD and get the R9 280X. 8 GB of ram is plenty. I would get a 550 power supply.
