I might have to change it to 7200rpm for budget reasons, but how would the load times be?

WOW and OHH! you can get WD black 1TB and 120GB SSD and have awesome boot times!

you will have good load times. 840 EVO is no slouch, and the ultrastar is ok. However, first up 500w min is recommended for this setup. Secondly why one stick of ram. Do you plan to add another 8gb later. Otherwise get 2 x 4gbs.
