Will these parts run BF4 and other intense games on high settings? How long do you think it will be until I have to replace the graphics card and the like?

What is your budget for the build? I cannot see the budget anywhere.

And also the 8 core 8320 is just as powerful as the 6 core 6300 for gaming unless you are overclocking either of them.

So, what is your budget. You should wait for replies from more people. Anyways what is your build budget?

Excuse me?

FX 6300 is a 6-core version of the 8320. The 2 extra cores in the 8320 are the main reasons for its superior performance than the 6300.
the 6300 is not as powerful the 8320! That is a total misconception! Why don't you do some research before giving such a sweeping statement!

The Single Threaded performance of the FX 6300 and the 8320 are similar. Games does not use more than 4 cores anyways.

Comparing b/w 8320 and the 8350, then I can assure that the 8350 is more powerful because of it's higher clock speeds, it has better single threaded performance.

So, comparing FX 6300 and the 8320, they both are clocked similar with the same architecture. So, they would perform about the same. Unless any game utilizes more than 6 cores of the CPU which is highly unlikely.

This build would do awesome gaming.

+ i5 3350p is just little less powerful than the 3570k. Just clocked a bit lower and without iGPU. Awesome for gaming.
+ 7970 is a very good GPU. Infact the R9-280X is just a rebranded 7970.
+ 8GB RAM is ideal for gaming. 1TB HDD should be more than enough for everyday needs.
+ NZXT Tempest 210 is a great case with nice cooling ability and for a good price.
+ Antec's 650W 80+ Platinum PSU is seriously a no compromise PSU. Very high quality and quiet.
+ Windows 8.1, you may replace it with Windows 7 if you prefer so. I prefer Windows 8.1
+ Asus' good 23" monitor with 2ms response time, smooth for gaming.

So, this is the build that you should get for the 1000 dollar budget. This is seriously a beast for gaming. You cannot get better than this for 1000 dollars. Nice CPU + Nice GPU + other goodies.

Go for it.

I hope this helps.
