Okay so i got a ryzen 2700x and a msi 970 but for some reason its a lot laggier ( is that how you spell it ? ) than my previous build ( i7 4790k)

So i was looking at these parts.

CPU (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01LTI1JEM/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1)

MOBO(https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01N1PND67/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1)

First of all will these work together and will this ram (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01MR4Y3JE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) also work with it no problem?

I just dont want a downgrade in performance like with the ryzen build. Have no idea why it happened but hopefully it will work well with this.

Thanks

Your idle temps really correlate with your ambient temps. But 35-40C is an average range. I would not worry about idling as much as peak. Peak temps is where your better coolers come into play. The temps go higher when you change the power plan because it is pegging out the CPU 100%. For power saver the CPU will downclock and speed up when it is asked to do something.

On more thing, you are leaving some performance on the table without overclocking your RAM. It is running at 2133. While it is rated at 3600, you may have difficulty getting that speed. I suggest overclocking your RAM to 3200 for your system and you will see a nice performance bump.

Lastly, use the money that you were going to spend on getting the 7700k and replace that 970. You have a very nice rig and are gimping it with a 970.

Firstly just want to say thanks so much for the helps its been so helpful. I knew the ram was running at a low mhz. I didn't know how i can change it but i think i found something. Is it in the bios and its a drop down menu where it shows you a load of mhz number? Do i choose 3200mhz there then ?And lastly my friend said i need to upgrade my gpu as its dragging me down. I was going to wait until the prices drop. I'll probably get a 1070 but need to try and make all the money for one first :)

I updated the bios but yes slapped in the new cpu ram and mb. I reinstalled windows aswell
