Just because it's not on Asus's Qualified Vendor's List for memory doesn't mean it won't work, it should. Don't see why it wouldn't.

but the one i want the top one says this "Compatible with Intel P55 chipset"im not sure but will that still work with a x58 chipset?

also is that the best gskill ram cards, i want 4 gb chips.thanks

It would... that P55 but it must be a glitch/typo.

I suppose that RAM is one of the best kits available from G.Skill, but do you really need 24 GB?

umm, i guess i need that looking towards the future with this build. so its the same the p55 as the x58 one. just making sure since it is a bit , just want to be positive. im not sure bout the speeds and all that , but is the one i want good, i think it was 7-8-7-24 while i saw another gskill ripjaw 9-9-9-24

For a 3x4 GB kit, those timings are very good I reckon, bit on the pricey side though.

I kind of made this topic late if anyone else can give me some input that would great I still kind of lost on this whole ram thing my main concern is if the p55 will work with the x58 if it's a typo or what not really sure bout newegg and all that thanks a million to anyone that helps out

It's not a P55 kit, I'm pretty sure it's a typo - P55 needs dual channel, this is a triple channel.

Newegg is pretty bad with specs sometimes. With the Core i5 760 they said it was a 32nm Hyper-Threaded quad core, it was a 45nm quad core w/o HTT.

Trust me, that kit WILL work, unless it's DOA. Lol.

I am pretty sure any type of RAM that is DDR3 works with x58 motherboards. Some mother boards have a memory standard, like one might only accept 1600 RAM or higher, the other might accept 1333 or higher. The Rampage 3 Extreme accepts all types of DDR3 memory.
